Melissa Ross Photography Photo Charm Giveaway! - CLOSED!

Closed!  Congratulations Tracey!  Comment #2

So we all have our precious angels that we love more than anything.  Whether it's our kids, our husbands, our pets, or (who knows) your favorite professional ping-pong player - it could be, don't knock it.  I don't know about you, but I like being able to look at my little angels' faces whenever I want and I especially like showing their precious-ness off to anyone who is willing to look at them.  Of course, I never have any pictures available and the ones on my phone are not only poor quality, they're old.  Besides, my phone is either not with me or not charged, sometimes both.

What I really need?  Something that is always going to be with me.  Something that will be pretty to look at.  Something with a little bit of bling.  Something like this:

Pretty, isn't it?  How perfect!  It can be for yourself or for a gift.  Christmas is quickly approaching (too quickly in my opinion) and this would be a wonderful gift.

Melissa of Melissa Ross Photography is giving away this adorable picture charm, perfect for your bag or purse and readily available to ooh and aah over.

Melissa Ross Photography is a full service portrait provider located in southern California.  She will go on site for weddings and family portraits.  She also offers an array of extras, including birth announcements, ornaments, and Christmas cards.  Best of all?  Melissa is a wonderful woman who enjoys her job and it shows in her pictures.

Rules, because there have to be rules: you will have 48 hours to respond and claim your prize.  I will choose the winner via random.org.  The giveaway will end on Friday, September 14 at 8:00 CST.  Please leave your email in the comment field so I have a way of contacting you.  This charm retails at $38.

There are 4 ways to enter:

1. Leave a comment!  That's all, just leave a comment saying who your own special angel is you would place in the charm if you win. Don't forget to put your email in!

2. Head over and visit Melissa's  website.  Come back here and comment about something you liked.  (You may also want to check out the giveaway she's doing on her site!).

3. Tweet about the giveaway!  Leave the link back here.  You can do this once a day.

4.  Leave a post on Facebook, leave a link back here.

Good luck to you all!

Vicky

The Silver Liner - 10% off discount -ENDED

I've been getting greener lately.  There are a ton of different ways that a person can "go green" too.  I enjoy supporting local and homemade items in my quest for a greener lifestyle.  Many work at homes support a variety of levels of green, which I think is wonderful.  People recognize that many people don't want to or aren't always ready to do an all-or-nothing change.

I've recently had the opportunity to use my newest green endeavor from The Silver Liner with my choice to change to cloth menstrual pads.  I've also used her swipers, a cover for my Swiffer that eliminates the need to purchase the disposable covers/pads.  Cloth wipes, they're great for baby bottoms, wiping off make-up, family cloth (a much greener solution to toilet paper), and anything else you might want a wipe for.  Wet bags and kitchen wet bags, now I've used wet bags, since I use cloth diapers it's kind of a necessity to have something to put the "wet" diapers in but kitchen wet bags are something new that I had never heard of until recently.  They hang from the stove and collect your wet rags and towels that you've used.

Super soft, minky, topped pads.  They are amazing and (honest) don't stain.

Swipers

Hanging wet bag.

The owner of the store is very sweet and has a large selection of everything she sells, you can even pick out your own material, (and I love picking out the material).

Whether a light pastel "green" or a dark forest "green", she has a nice variety for all.  I highly recommend checking out The Silver Liner, she has both an Etsy store and a Hyenacart store.  Don't forget to use your 10% discount code though!  This code is for all visitors of my blog and is good from May 23rd through June 6th!

Code: windowtomyworld

Happy shopping and enjoy.

Thanks so much to The Silver Liner for their generosity.  All opinions are mine and mine alone.

Rollover Leatherworks Review and Giveaway ENDED

I, or should I say Lily, received a beautiful collar from Rollover Leatherworks.  A company that specializes in making beautiful dog and cat collars and leashes.  With hundreds of choices, it's not a matter of can you find one that you love, it's really more deciding which you love the most.

The leather is dyed with 100% eco friendly vegetable dye in natural leather colors as well as fun, bright colors.  Your dog's name can be added in a font of your choice.  Nine different gem colors can be added.  Different styles of collars, buckles, and leashes are all available for your choosing.  That was the other thing!  The types of collars!  There were martingales, Roman ring, buckle; the possibilities truly are endless.

Because they are leather, they do require a bit more care than your typical nylon collar.  Conditioning may be needed and they do need to be dried off if they get drenched.  Not to worry, a card is included with your beautiful new collar that will explain how to properly keep the leather.

We received a Roman ring collar with a majestic mahogany stain and stamped with Lily's name.

For those who don't understand how a Roman ring works (as I didn't), the heavy duty, industrial strength snaps are adjustable on the inside leaving a clean, polished look for any pooch.  If you prefer a buckle collar, Rollover Leatherworks offers 9 different beautiful styles to choose from.
A sweet little extra adorns Lily's new collar.

Lily, modeling her Rollover Leatherworks collar.

The owner, Lana, is wonderful.  Rest assured, your order will be double checked and your product will show up exactly how you ordered it.  Visit Rollover Leatherworks on Etsy to purchase your very own collar or leash.

GIVEAWAY!

Congratulations csironkat!

You and your dog also have the opportunity to win a collar of your own!  Rollover Leatherworks has graciously donated a one of a kind collar to one lucky reader.  This collar is hand made to fit a medium to large dog with a 16-20" neck, it is dyed their desert sunset and is 1.5" wide.

Roses have been stamped onto the collar.

A heavy duty buckle and Chicago screws make the collar sturdy and secure.

The ins and outs of the giveaway!  The giveaway will end on December 23rd at 10:00pm CST.  Be sure to put your email in your entries in order to contact you.  The winner will be picked via random.org.  Good luck to you all!

Snak Saks Review and Discount ENDED!

ENDED!

I received a beautiful reusable sandwich bag from SnakSaks.  If you're like many people, you may have never heard of a reusable snack or sandwich bag.  The are exactly what they sound like but cuter!   A reusable bag that you can use for lunch, snacks, school, work, picnics or any other time.  I have already used it for our Cheerios and Hubby has said that yes he would even bring it to work.

A sandwich size 7x7 Sak has ample space to hold breads larger than a classic white bread sandwich.  Smaller snack sizes are 4x7.

The inner is a waterproof nylon that will keep even the messiest of sandwiches from squishing out.   You can see how roomy the bag is, the 2 pieces of bread don't even fill the bag 1/2 way.  (I couldn't bear to put my stinky salami sandwich in there the first day).

Velcro is stitched through both layers of fabric for extra reinforcement.

Adorable prints show off your own personality.

To wash your SnakSak, you can either wipe it out by hand or toss it in the washing machine.

Visit SnakSaks on Etsy for your very own.
For 10% off the entire purchase enter coupon code blog2011 (coupon does not include shipping)
Coupon code is good until the end of the year.
Enjoy and happy Snak-ing.

I received this product to review, however, all opinions are my own.

Self-control

Me: Monkey, Sunshine was playing with that.
Monkey: I want it! (he is only 3)
Me: Leave her alone and wait your turn.
Monkey: Humph (followed by a foot stomp and his angry face)
Me: Don't stomp your foot at me.
Monkey: Sunshine hit me and I domp my feet and day humph. (S's are not an easy sound for him)
I suppose it's good that he didn't haul back and hit her and only stomped his foot.  Of course Sunshine didn't hit him.

It's not easy to fake an "angry face" but this is pretty close to it.
